As many as 294 mini and micro hydropower projects in the public and private sectors are coming up in Himachal Pradesh to generate 586 MW of electricity, according to Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal.

Himachal Pradesh will soon get another tranche of a multimillion-dollar loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the construction of four hydropower generating plants in the northern Indian state, a senior official said here Sunday.
