ONGC stopped drilling in Himachal Pradesh in 2010

Shimla, April 2 (Coal Geology) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) had re-started exploration for oil and gas in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district in 2009 but later abandoned it in February 2010, a minister said here Thursday.

‘The drilling work was re-started in December 2009 in Jwalamukhi area but because only water with very mild gas was found, the drilling was abandoned by ONGC,’ Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor said in a written statement in the assembly.

He said ONGC had deployed Mumbai-based private firm, Diwanchand Ramsaran Industries Private Ltd. for exploration work.

Earlier, in the 1980s and 1990s too ONGC had carried out drilling in the area as geographical surveys had indicated huge presence of oil and natural gas in the area.

In 1993, the exploration was abandoned because ONGC did not have proper drilling equipment to reach a depth of 10,000 metres.

At present, ONGC is carrying out oil exploration in the hills of Kasauli in Solan district.

    Dear Sir,

The same case as of Jawalaji would happen in Kasauli, because ONGC is drilling at wrong point the details are given below

This detail has been quoted to ONGC also

    Dear Sir,

My self a civil engineer since 1992 working with a private sector in nearby proximities of Kasauli. I have GOD Gifted sense for pin point determination of underground water and oils.

I have checked the site drilling by ONGC at kasauli and found that the main drilling point is dislocated by 3.5 to 4 meters, and at this location even if ONGC drill upto 10000 meters it would be a failure.

The exact point drilling would have given the below listed datas

    1) Gas availibility = at – 1250 Meters to -4360
    2) Oil availibility is at -4361 to -4363 meters ( the ONGC can get at discharge upto 15mm if diverted to exact location)

Since ONGC is drilling at wrong point which is dislocated by 4 meters they can get only gas at level -3044 meters ( if they incline drilling towards south and shoot at gun at level -3044.

An hand made sketch has been handed over to The geologist and Mr H. Singh ( Incharge of ONGC Kasauli).

I always hope to do the best for my countary, and further hope that ONGC will look into it for getting best results.

    Thanks

As per the latest udates, the ONGC has corrected the verticality of the drilling and now the will rach the level of -3044 with in next 10 days. Since ONGC is not trying to divert it toward SOUTH west from original drilling location they hardly get GAS AT -3044.

But my sences still says that even if they do not divert they will get nominal gas at -3044 with in next 10 days

    Dear Sir,

As per the latest (at 11.00 A.M on dated 8-12-2010) Update the ONGC has drilled up to -3036 Meters and it would take another 20 Hours to reach at level -3044

The ONGC has straightened the drilling rod but has not diverted it towards South west as per my earlier mail. Few of the ONGC officers also started ignoring me (Its obvious as of human nature that the failure will lead every hard worker towards irritation and agony and till now ONGC has not found any trace of Gas or oil as per their survey except minor Gas Symptoms at level -675 ” this is also given in my mail”)

The ONGC will reach at level -3044 on dated 9-12-2010( if all machines/pumps works well) and the ONGC will get the symptoms of GASAES at this level.

But the ONGC should not feel lucky at this stage as they have to stop at this point and need to divert it as per my predictions for getting enough gases and oil at level MINUS 4063 meters

Hope the best for my country

    Dear Sir,

The ONGC has drilled more than -3044 and no trace of gas has been found. The cases are Two- Either the verticality of the bore was not maintained or the very hard strata at this level could not found any fracture for nominal Gas leakage to boring point from under ground source.

Now ONGC is Drilling beyond this depth but this exercise is a waste exercise. ONGC Need To Divert it towards SOUTH WEST or the entire drilling will go in waste as the availability of Gas in around 4 meters away from present drilling.

If ONGC follow up the drawing issued by me then they can get Gas as well as Oil near level -4360.

But If ONGC continue drilling at this point nothing would become achievable and this would become a failure bore.

Hope the Best for the Country

    Dear Sir,

The loss has happened finally, Because ONGC did not divert the rig towards SOUTH west as per my previous quote on dated September 2010.

So finally ONGC bind up it and started de mobilizing from Kasauli.

This is really a great loss to the COUNTARY.

If they could have diverted it , the ONGC could have achieved the goal.

Lets hope for the best for the country.
