Bhubaneswar, March 8 (Coal Geology) More than 800 tonnes of manganese and iron ore have been seized from Orissa’s mineral-rich Keonjhar district during a week-long crackdown on illegal mining, police said Monday.
The seizures took place in Bamebari area, 235 km from here. According to police officer Rajesh Pandit, the manganese was to be moved outside the state.
